Whithorn Pilgrimage (Galloway) in honour of St Ninian, 30th August 2026

Whithorn annual National Pilgrimage, Sunday 30th August. Mass on the beach celebrated by Bishop Frank Dougan at 4 p.m. (near the cave of St Ninian); Mass in Whithorn, St Martin and St Ninian's R.C. Church at 4.45 pm. Click on link below for details.

Lerwick Congregational Church closes.

The Congregational Church in Clairmont Place held its last service on Sunday 31st May 2026. Church authorities attributed the closure to a long vacancy for Minister and declining numbers.
